Healing is done through medics, who you will sometimes have to protect. To start, you have the shield, which means you always have cover. The best thing about this game, which hasn't been mentioned, is it really thinks outside the box in terms of FPS conventions. My videos suck (digital camera + 8.5" screen = no sound, but better quality than I thought it'd be), so get the game and make your own damn videos. If you spent more time messing with the physics in games like Max Payne 2 than playing the game, UC: RR has excellent, tight, refined physics and is the game for you.Ĩ crap quality videos (a paltry 35MB total) I made showing off a few fun bits of the game:
It's not the best game in the world (a solid 8), but it's so much fun and the shooting is so satisfying that it's easy to overlook any flaws. It feels like an homage to games like Goldeneye and Perfect Dark (also like those, strafing in UC: RR makes you move faster), fans of those should definitely check this out. It's hard to put into descriptive words, but the shooting and physics are just perfect in this game, it's exaggerated realism, not overly realistic to be boring and not so fake it's dumb. Not to mention the aiming is very precise (and you get rewarded for headshots!), the shooting is impeccable and so much damn fun that it makes the game a million times better. You can light people on fire with molotov cocktails or your tazer, throw cleavers, use nail bombs, power saws and beat people with your shield. Why should you care? It makes shooting fun again, it's not another tired military shooter, but a RoboCop meets SWAT type one.
